    Instructors & Mission

Han Mi Martial Arts is the Damascus & Clarksburg area’s premiere traditional martial arts school, for a reason.  At Han Mi, you’ll have the opportunity to take classes in up to four distinct martial arts styles – Taekwondo, Hapkido, Kendo, and Tai Chi – with our top-notch internationally-certified instructors.  Whether your interest is in self-defense, sport athleticism, sword training, or relaxation, we have something to meet your needs.

At Han Mi Martial Arts, you’ll learn from dedicated, passionate black belt instructors. They have studied for years and have official credentials to back it up.  These men and women get on the mat with you; they are right next to you practicing what they preach and still studying and improving themselves. You won’t have to deal with false pride and phony bravado – instead, you’ll be encouraged to become part of a community of realistic, courteous, and approachable martial artists who love what they do.

Plus, we take seriously our commitment to your safety – which is why we require all instructors to be over the age of 18, certified in CPR and First Aid, have an internationally-recognized black belt, and undergo a background check.  Most schools don’t have these requirements, but we hold our instructors to a higher standard, to make sure that you and your family are safe and in good hands.
